Swimming Pool Care · Case Study
Green pool recovered and stabilised on a proper chemical schedule
Palm Jumeirah
The problem
Pool green and opaque after several weeks without maintenance during peak summer, with the owner unsure whether draining was necessary.
Diagnosis
Testing showed chlorine effectively at zero with pH and stabiliser well out of range, allowing algae to establish. Filtration was functional, so draining was not required.
Work completed
Shock treatment applied, filtration run continuously, surfaces brushed across repeated visits, filter backwashed and media checked, then water balanced and held stable before handover.
Materials & solution
Shock treatment and balancing chemicals, filter media inspection and partial replacement.
Result
Water returned to clear and swim-ready without draining and refilling, then placed on a weekly maintenance schedule with readings recorded each visit.
