The short answer
What can a carpenter in Dubai help with?
Carpentry work in a Dubai home usually falls into three groups: repairing what has moved or worn (doors dropping on their hinges, cabinet doors sagging, damaged skirting), fitting new made-to-measure storage such as wardrobes and shelving, and fine joinery like trim, panelling and door hardware upgrades. Quick Fix Force sends joiners who measure on site, match existing wood finishes, and protect the room before cutting begins.
Who this is for: Villa owners with solid timber doors and built-in joinery, apartment residents needing storage fitted to awkward layouts, and landlords snagging a unit between tenancies.
Common carpentry & joinery problems in Dubai homes
Symptoms are easy to spot. The cause is what determines the fix — and the cost.
A door catches on the frame or won't latch
- Likely cause
- Hinge screws have pulled out of the frame, or the door has swollen or dropped out of square.
- How we fix it
- Hinges are re-seated into sound timber, the door is planed and re-aligned, and the latch and strike plate are reset so it closes cleanly.
Wardrobe or kitchen doors sag and no longer line up
- Likely cause
- Worn concealed hinges or fixings loosened in chipboard carcasses.
- How we fix it
- Hinges and fixings are replaced with the correct type, carcasses are reinforced, and all doors are re-aligned to consistent gaps.
Repairs look obvious against the original woodwork
- Likely cause
- Filler and off-the-shelf stain that don't match the existing finish.
- How we fix it
- Colour is matched on site and the repair is finished to blend with the surrounding joinery rather than patched over.

Our carpentry & joinery process
Four steps, in the same order every time — so you always know what happens next and what it costs.
Tell us what's happening
Call or WhatsApp a short description — photos help. We confirm whether the job needs an inspection or can be booked straight away.
Inspection & diagnosis
A specialist attends, tests the system and identifies the actual cause rather than treating the symptom.
Clear scope & price before work
You receive the findings, the recommended fix, and the cost in writing. Nothing proceeds until you approve it.
Work completed & tested
The job is carried out, tested in front of you, and the area is left clean. You get a record of what was done.
What affects carpentry cost in Dubai
We do not publish flat rates for work we have not seen. This is what changes the number, so nothing on your quote is a surprise.
Repairs are priced by the item and the extent of damage — a hinge and alignment job is straightforward, while re-facing a kitchen or building fitted wardrobes is driven by materials, hardware quality and the run length. Made-to-measure work also depends on board and veneer lead times. We quote after measuring, so the figure reflects your actual space.
Why Dubai property owners use us for carpentry & joinery
Specialists, not generalists
Each trade is handled by a technician who works in that discipline daily — AC engineers on AC, certified electricians on electrical work.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can a carpenter in Dubai help with?
Carpentry work in a Dubai home usually falls into three groups: repairing what has moved or worn (doors dropping on their hinges, cabinet doors sagging, damaged skirting), fitting new made-to-measure storage such as wardrobes and shelving, and fine joinery like trim, panelling and door hardware upgrades. Quick Fix Force sends joiners who measure on site, match existing wood finishes, and protect the room before cutting begins.
Can you match existing wood finishes?
Yes — our joiners colour-match stains and finishes so repairs blend with the original work.
Do you build custom furniture?
We build fitted pieces — wardrobes, shelving, storage — made to measure for your space.
Is dust protection included?
Always. Floors and furniture are protected, and we leave the space clean.
Why do my wardrobe and kitchen doors keep dropping out of alignment?
Usually the carcass material rather than the hinge. Most fitted wardrobes and kitchens here are built from chipboard or MDF, and the small screws holding concealed hinges pull loose in that material over time — especially on heavy or tall doors, and on units where the door is opened many times a day. Re-tightening the same screw into the same failed hole lasts weeks. The lasting fix is to reinforce or re-seat the fixing into sound material, then reset every door to consistent gaps.
Can a swollen or water-damaged door or cabinet be repaired, or does it need replacing?
It depends how far the damage has gone. Surface damage, a lifted edge band or a swollen bottom rail on solid timber can usually be cut back, repaired and refinished. Once water has reached chipboard or MDF and the board has swollen and lost its structure, repair is cosmetic at best — the material no longer holds a fixing. Kickboards, sink-base units and bathroom vanities are where this shows up most, and the leak that caused it needs fixing first or the replacement goes the same way.
What is the difference between MDF, chipboard and solid wood for fitted joinery?
Chipboard is the cheapest and the most vulnerable to moisture and repeated fixing. MDF machines cleanly and takes a painted finish well, which is why it suits doors and panelling, but it is heavy and also swells if it gets wet. Solid timber holds fixings best and can be repaired and refinished repeatedly, at a higher cost and with movement to allow for. Most Dubai fitted joinery is board-based with a veneer or laminate, which is entirely serviceable — the durability difference is mostly in the hardware and the edge sealing.
Do you repair damaged kitchen cabinets, or only replace the whole kitchen?
Repair first where it is viable. Hinges, runners, handles, soft-close mechanisms, damaged edge banding and individual doors can all be replaced without touching the carcasses, which is a fraction of the cost of a new kitchen and usually the right answer when the layout still works. Replacement makes sense when the carcasses themselves have failed, when doors are no longer available to match, or when the layout is being changed anyway.
How long does made-to-measure joinery take?
The site work is usually the short part. Measuring, agreeing the design and materials, and manufacture are what set the timeline, and board, veneer and hardware lead times drive most of it. Repairs and hardware replacement are typically same-visit or next-visit; fitted wardrobes and bespoke units are planned as a project, and we give you the fabrication window at quotation rather than after you have committed.
Can you fit joinery in an apartment with drilling restrictions?
Yes, though it changes how the work is planned. Many Dubai towers restrict drilling to set hours and require building approval and a contractor pass, and some restrict fixings into structural walls entirely. Tell us the building when you book — we arrange the permission and schedule the noisy stages inside the permitted window rather than turning up and being stopped at reception.
